Pavlock shock alarm clock12/3/2023 ![]() ![]() It wasn’t drastic, but it was certainly noticeable. Just after a few weeks with Pavlok, the device did help me cut down on my nicotine intake. So, I figured this would be an excellent opportunity to put Pavlok through the ringer and see if it could help me quit my habit. I’ve now transferred that addiction to strictly nicotine, but now smoking out of a Juul e-cig. I picked up the habit when I was just 16 and continued on an ashy path up until about a 5-6 months ago, off and on. You just have to put some effort into it, like anything else. Whether it’s staying on time, being more productive, or waking up on time I think it’s safe to say this Pavlok bracelet works. But there’s really something about being electrocuted with a jolt of electricity to keep you on your toes. I got some time to spend with Pavlok, and from just a couple of weeks with it, it did keep me mindful of a particular habit I was trying to quit, which I’ll explain in detail a little further below. Other than getting zapped by any stranger and their mother on the internet, does it live up to the hype, does it really help you break bad habits? Instead, it’s meant to help you quit bad habits such as smoking, snacking, nail-biting, decreasing your sugar intake, boost your productivity, and a whole lot more. But it also has other useful features like an alarm clock and a sleep tracker. Also successfully using it to stop biting the tips of my fingers, and other habits! Plus to stay mindful throughout the day.Īdded bonus: the snap can help take the place of your morning (or whenever) caffeine if you happen to miss it or forget haha. But ultimately, that’s not what Pavlok is intended for. ![]() ![]() ![]() I’m happy with the 3, and have actually been able to get up on time to my alarms this whole last week, without having 5 alarms go off over and over and walking my wife up to be mad at me lol. Not too many things to assign to them, but find my iphone, and quick access to the stopwatch and timer are cool too! Plus obviously the snap button lol. I like the 3 buttons on the P3, it feels like it’s got more functionality. I really hope they make more additions to the app, and add different features! Something like a “vibe/chime/snap on the hour,” or other things like that would be cool! I feel like i am and will continue to get my moneys worth out of the Pavlok 3. But there’s a decent few of them, and with those you can certainly get great use out of the device! I have to wash my hands a lot, so the first two iterations were a no go for me.Īs far as functions it has, it’s pretty limited for sure. So it’s got great battery life, and it’s definitely waterproof enough for me. I use it fairly regularly, wearing it nonstop mostly throughout those days, and I use the stopwatch setting to constantly have vibrations and shocks going throughout my day. However, using the word “watch” to describe it is what caused me to be confused in the first place lol.Īnyway, I love the Pavlok 3 and think it’s great! Had it for a week or so now (5-6 days?), have only charged it the first time when I opened the box, and it’s at 59% still. It would be awesome if it DID tell time, but doesn’t matter that it doesn’t. So I don’t think wearing it with a watch (I wear my watch on the outside of my wrist too) would be very comfortable for me. I tried wearing it on the inside of my wrist, but it kept hitting my desk when I would type. But if it has a clock, why not make a small screen anyway? Lol.Įither way, I don’t care that it doesn’t tell time, although I was (still am a bit lol) slightly disappointed it didn’t tell time, because I don’t want to have it attached to a watch. I figured it just meant internal clock, which would allow it to keep functioning without being connected to your phone 24/7. Then I was reading the quick guide again, and it said that the LEDs would flash red if the clock was out of sync. The word “watch” made me think it had a screen for a clock though. As a Pavlok 3 owner, can we please stop calling it a “watch?” Lol I’ve been so confused because I wasn’t sure before purchase if it showed the time or not, and after buying discovered it didn’t. ![]()
